Join us to celebrate the joy of swing dancing in the heart of Pennsylvania Dutch country! Your team of dedicated hosts is thrilled to bring you the EIGHTH annual Swing Aus dance weekend.

We're looking forward to two nights of moving and grooving to live band performances (starting at 8 PM sharp Friday and Saturday evenings) followed by late night DJ-ed swing and blues. Join us at 7 PM either night for a walk-in beginner lesson.

Spend all day Saturday and Sunday in one of THREE workshop tracks taught by world-class instructors. Compete Saturday in either our begintermediate or intermediate/advanced lindyhop competition for phenomenal prizes and the rousing applause of your fellow dancers.

During lunch and dinner breaks, enjoy exploring our curated list of coffee shops and restaurants, all within walking distance in the city which serves as the heartbeat of Lancaster County. And wrap up your weekend with a brilliant Sunday evening afterparty on site at the Iris Club, complete with renowned DJ and festive snacks.

TRACK DESCRIPTIONS FOR SWING AUS 2026

NOVICE (Track 1) —

Track 1 is for the novice dancer: new-ish, but not brand-new. You have taken many beginner drop in lessons, know what a social dance looks like, and are familiar with 6 and 8 count basics. You may be able to dance a swing out but you still have to think a little bit to get through it and would love to feel more comfortable experimenting with fancy moves while having fun. Get ready to add more to your vocabulary and build your comprehension of the dance! You will find this track will give you the tools to continue to build your foundational knowledge and application of Lindy Hop.

INTERMEDIATE (Track 2) —

Intermediate dancers are comfortable with the basics and putting moves together, and are going out social dancing. If you are a local dancer, you might take intermediate classes at Lancaster Swing Dance or the Rhythm Lounge. You have a solid understanding of 6 & 8 count basics, can easily integrate the swing-out with variations into your social dancing, know some Charleston, probably know the Shim Sham, may have started traveling to workshops and events, and are ready to add more tools to your toolbelt!

ADVANCED+ (Track 3) —

INVITE OR VIDEO AUDITION REQUIRED.
Advanced+ dancers have been dancing Lindy Hop for many years, travel quite a bit to other festivals/events, teach locally/in other scenes, and compete regularly. You likely have some experience choreographing, performing, and are looking for new ways to be challenged. This track will be a small group of dancers, focusing on the minutia of the dance, digging deep into conceptual and concrete material designed to get your brain sweating. You must be invited to this track or submit a video audition for consideration.
